It’s Time To Get The Sleep You’ve Always Deserved

Your Path to Better Sleep Starts Here…

Have you had an at-home sleep test (HST) in the past year?

Sleep Apnea & its affects on your body

Are you having trouble sleeping at night? Feeling tired all the time during the day? Do you snore?

If yes, you might be suffering from obstructive sleep apnea. Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a common sleep disorder where your breathing repeatedly stops and starts while you’re asleep.

Sleep apnea can develop for many different reasons. Some people are more prone because of anatomy — such as a smaller airway, jaw position, or enlarged tissues in the throat. Others may be affected by factors like family history, hormonal changes, nasal congestion, smoking, alcohol, or certain medications that relax the airway. While weight can play a role for some individuals, many people with sleep apnea are not overweight at all.

This condition can cause loud snoring, pauses in breathing, or episodes of choking or gasping during sleep, which disrupts the quality of rest and can lead to daytime fatigue and other health concerns.

If you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed here, schedule an appointment and get the help you need for a healthy sleep routine. At Southeast Dental Sleep Associates, we are your gateway to oral health and wellness, which means helping you achieve healthy teeth and a healthy sleeping routine for your overall well-being. We take sleep apnea treatment seriously because neglecting sleep apnea can have severe consequences for your health and daily life.

  • Relationship difficulties: OSA can cause loud snoring, making it uncomfortable for your partner during the night, some couples end up sleeping in separate bedrooms if left untreated.
